It is a perfect place to unwind, re-energize and re-connect with nature, self and others. The residence is also home to a small friendly, working Community who also look after guests, cook
delicious, organic, healthy food and keep the place loved. Guests frequently comment on the lovely,
simple, natural and happy atmosphere.

The Retreat in More Detail
Arrival time will be at 3pm on Friday. There will be space to unwind, relax over a cup of tea , get a feel for the house, bask in the silence of the surrounding environment, potter around the delightful grounds and begin to absorb Nature’s beauty and grace. Slowing down further, as the sun begins to set on Friday evening, we will practice a gentle, candlelit yoga session in the tranquil yoga space before a delicious evening meal. On Saturday morning Emma will offer an optional Pranayama Session in the yoga space, followed by a Vinyasa Flow Yoga Session based around the theme of the Sun. This will be radiant, powerful, enlivening & energizing prior to breakfast. Please note, beginners will be given plenty of modifications to ensure you enjoy a lovely practice (and intermediate/advanced plenty of challenge). Everyone will practice at their own pace and to their own ability, supported by Emma. Then follows free time to read / rest and just BE.
The late afternoon offers a little Mantra chanting to open the heart followed by a relaxing Restorative Yoga Session (with Yoga Nidra) and then a delicious, healthy, vegetarian dinner. On Saturday evening there will be a lovely Camp Fire for us to gather around, chat and reflect as the sun goes down. On Sunday morning we will begin with a Vinyasa Flow Yoga Session (again for all levels) with the overall theme of Sacred Summer Silence. Weather permitting we will practice on fresh, green grass accompanied by the sounds of nature. Emma will then instruct a mindfulness / walking meditation, as taught to her by Bhante Bodhidhama, Buddhist Monk of Satipanya (meaning Intuitive Intelligence) Meditation Centre. This practice is one that Emma practices regularly and believes it to be a wonderful antidote to the fast pace of the modern world. The retreat will come to a close after lunch on Sunday around 3pm.
This retreat has been inspired by a recent collaborative venture over the Easter period at Braziers Park, working alongside the most wonderful Louise Hurford and Lani Rochello. It was our first retreat together and we had such an enriching time combining our knowledge & experience to offer a weekend of yoga, sound and meditation. If you can’t make it with me on this retreat, please check out future retreats with these ladies as they are two of the most authentic and embodied healers I know with so much integrity, soul & gentility, bringing great earthiness, sacred feminine and love into their work with others.
